Spring flings & bright things, Vernal Equinox, what seeds will bloom this season?

Hello beautiful,

Happy Spring!

Spring is a season I find easier to embrace than the cold winter, having waited through the dark part of the year for its arrival seemingly with baited breath. Being a (late) spring baby myself, I've always been especially drawn to the season, the themes of new life, rebirth, emergence, vitality, fertility, the increasing warmth and light, and joy!

From the first early blossoms and rays of Sun leading up to the Spring Equinox, to the long, bright days of the Summer Solstice, I do my best to make the most of this richly potent season of growth and development.

Got a lot of exciting projects in the dance/mindful movement/coaching spaces coming up this spring myself, as well as a trip to the continental US (Portland, Oregon) and Hawai'i and special offers along the way and when I return to Germany in mid-May.

When scheduling with me and attending classes or sessions online, keep in mind that we will "spring forward" to Central European Summer Time in Germany on March 30th. For example, my online Yummy Gentle Yoga will be offered at same time this zone, 7:00pm CST, but as a result will be earlier in HI after the time change, 7:00am HST (later in winter time since HI has no daylight savings time, check your zone)

On the blog and in my video this week, I'm meditating on Spring themes in mindful movement, dance, and creative living with a collection of "bucket list" items, related videos and articles:

My other creations, recommendations, and questions for you are:

Viewing:

  • In my new Spring & Equinox Reflection video on YouTube we practice about 5 minutes of gentle movement, breathwork, and visualization, then 5 minutes of questions for contemplation or written reflection which you may then bring into action. You could use this quiet moment and juicy questions as part of your Spring ritual, to tend to all areas of your life at this time of rich potential, in order to bloom bountifully in the coming season.
  • Nerding out on Blank First Page's Stationery Capsule, which is more minimal than mine, but they have some good recommendations and guidelines

Practicing:

Practicing Together LIVE / Adult Movement Classes this week:

  • In-Studio Adult Beginner Ballet, 6-7:00pm CET Mondays, Tanzschule Tanzraum Nippes, Cologne, Germany creates a strong, body-friendly, and graceful foundation for dance (German)
  • Online Yogalicious Gentle Yoga. 7-8:00pm CET Tuesdays (8-9:00am HI) provides a delicious mindful movement feast which balances strength, balance and coordination for mind, body, and spirit adaptable to all levels and conditions (English)
  • Online Balletlicious Gentle Adaptive Ballet Barre+, 7:30-8:30am CET Wednesdays, consists of mostly barre with a little dancey centre work, building a strong, body-friendly, and graceful foundation for dance at home or anywhere in the world (English)

Inquiring:

  • How do you observe Equinox season and Spring?
  • What seed(s) will you plant this season?
  • How will you tend to them (and self, others, community) to flourish this season?
  • Which fruits do you hope to harvest as a result of your labors during this time of growth?
  • What weeding/spring cleaning will help make the way?
  • What first small baby step will I take today?
  • Which holidays do you celebrate in the Spring and Summer?
  • What readings, resources, pieces of music, viewing and other enjoyments should I add to my Spring Bucket List?

Gladly share your response to the questions above or provide other updates by replying to this email or on social media if you are active there.

Thank you for reading, for being, and for dancing with me, in spirit or in fact. Take care of yourself and keep moving mindfully!

Hello beautiful, I hope this email finds you well! Jumped right back in to teaching, publishing, and lots of events once returning to Cologne in May and into June, so just now wrapping up my reflection on the month of April, with May of course close on it's heels. April revelry took place on two continents and an island, was 50 percent "regular" teaching, creating, and normal publishing schedule and travel prep, 50 percent adventures in several places I feel at home: Portland, Oregon with...
