Jaunting through June, How to take Notes for Dance, a Performing Arts Symposium, late spring creative things

Hello beautiful,

Happy PRIDE Month!

June also hosts some holidays falling this week: Pfingsten/Pentecost yesterday and today, the full Strawberry Moon on the 11th, Loving Day on the 12th. On a personal note, my Dad has an important medical procedure on the 13th, so sending good thoughts for a full recovery there for US Father's Day on Sunday the 15th.

Three US WWII Bombs were found in Cologne last week and thankfully successfully defused and safely removed, making for a suspenseful but thankfully not explosive, time!

It was an energetic period for dancing and teaching as another school year is coming to a close and I filmed a new video about taking notes for dance, which turned out to be completely on-topic for the Symposium I was fortunate to attend over the weekend (further details in an article soon to come):

Hello beautiful, School began again in Nordrhein-Westfalen this week, and I'm in a flurry of preparation to meet new and returning students and teach and learn exciting things this fall! I've included a couple of schedule updates for September below and will keep you in the loop on further developments as I am able. What role can "gently Socratic" philosophical inquiry play in the context of performing arts education? I consider myself fortunate to have had the honor of participating in Dr....

This week I've got an article about last month and two new videos for you, a flip-through of the month of July in my Seasonal Bullet Journal Book with reflections, and Part 3 of the Splits this Summer video sequence. Lovely online yogis or potential practitioners: please let me know if...

Butterfly Bullet Journal Spread & Ephemera

Hello beautiful, Light as a feather, fluttering in springtime and summer, having had encounters with butterflies in just about every place I have been, I always feel blessed by their gentle presence. Butterfly, Schmetterling, Farfalle, Papillon…I love their many names, their movements, the science and the mystery behind their lifecycles. My late ex mother in law Janine Kirkpatrick’s art faithfully depicting endangered butterflies I find particularly moving. Beloveds do come to mind as a...
