Happy Holidays, may the season bring celebration, dance, peace!

Hello beautiful,

I'll keep it short and sweet in this, my last email newsletter of the year.

So grateful you are here, in connection online, through digital media and in real life, in class and in conversation this year, lending your presence to my life and the world.

Have been celebrating my partner's birthday, the end of the semester and Advanced Dance Program, the holidays with a visit from my cousin and his family, the traditional meals with Ela's family coming next. Feeling very fortunate to mark the season with such lavish feasting and treats. It hasn't been an easy year for many, but we've made the most of it.

The work of reflection is part of what this time of year is about for me, yes going out and being present and celebrating as well, but also then going inward, looking back and forward. To that end, I am planning to take the time between Christmas Eve--today!--and the 5th of January when in-studio classes return, pretty much entirely "off" from work, posting, and engagement. Rest, recovery, reveling in quiet and dark, reflecting, dreaming, scheming and planning are on my non-agenda.

An exception are my online classes which will feature special year's transition classes for both Yummy Gentle Yoga and Balletlicious Adaptive Ballet next week.

Wishing you a sweet Solstice, merry Christmas, happy Hannukah, cool Kwanzaa and whatever festivals of light you may participate in, a brilliant New Year, lovely vacation if you get some, and a wonderful time regardless of how you personally spend this time.

My other creations, recommendations, and questions for you are:

Inquiring:

Hello gentle person, Happy July and Quarter 3, as well as Independence Day to my fellow Americans! Cologne celebrates PRIDE/Christopher Street Day this weekend and I'm also marking 7 years of living here (according to local tradition I'm now a local), the end of the Schoolyear, and the arrival of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, which has already been hitting hard with a days-long heatwave bringing extreme temperatures to the city. It is also Disability Pride Month! Strawberry Birthday Cake...

Blythe in the sunshine of late spring in Cologne

Hello beautiful, I hope this seasonal transition and email find you well, and that we may dance joyfully through the season. June to me means PRIDE and my birthday month (though Cologne celebrates PRIDE/Christopher Street Day in July), with lots of other significant events, such as Loving Day, Juneteenth, the Summer Solstice, Refugees' Day, end-of-schoolyear celebrations and goodbyes. At this point in the year, I also like to do some midyear reflection, lots of strawberry eating, rose...

Fresh Hawaiian Papaya

Hello beautiful, Hope you had a peaceful World Tai Chi/Qigong Day, freely moving International Dance Day as well as the other events of April. After a full year away, I made it back to Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i and I'm so happy and fortunate to be able to spend time at home with my parents as well as have some time by the sea and adventures with Ela. For the next couple of weeks I'll be less connected online but still occasionally present and publishing, focusing on being here, celebrating my...
