Dancing for human rights, anticipating Spring Equinox & time change while reflecting on January

Hello beautiful,

Happy full Worm Moon!

I had a wonderful time sharing a special 15 minute Mini-Barre for my students on YouTube and live workshop here in Cologne in celebration of International Women's Day last Saturday.

It was inspiring participating in professional exchange with a purpose, to promote global human rights. Nice to see that one2one Institut Koeln shared a lovely post with video from contribution on Instagram.

I'm looking forward to the Vernal Equinox and the daylight savings "spring forward" coming up later this month, and I'm so delighted my favorite season is arriving: stay tuned for any changes to class meeting times.

On the blog and in my video this week, I'm wrapping up January, with February on it's heels:

Reading:

  • I finished Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez is a modern fairytale, which like one of the characters says of their friends, didn't quite please me "at first blush," but grew to become my favorite read of the year so far, a spicy romantic delight and now I'm looking forward to reading more of their books
  • Gratitude made me an artist, ananymous' account

Practicing:

Inquiring:

  • How are you celebrating Women's History Month?
  • Do you observe the Spring Equinox, Easter, or other upcoming spring-ish holidays?
  • In what ways do you wish to spring forward this season?

Gladly share your response to the questions above or provide other updates by replying to this email or on social media if you are active there.

Thank you for reading, for being, and for dancing with me, in spirit or in fact. Take care of yourself and keep moving mindfully!

Hello beautiful, Happy March and almost-spring in the northern hemisphere! Since my last update, crocuses, snowbells, and daffodils have popped up and the days have gotten noticeably longer, lighter, and warmer here in Cologne. And I have seemingly caught every nasty virus (flu, stomach flu, COVID) currently going around here, putting a damper on my pre-spring plans. . Taking part in Eating Disorders Awareness Week again was awesome and another of my favorite events to collaborate on each...

Adventure spread in Blythe's 2026 Bullet Journal

Hello beautiful, Whether you are in a romantic place in life or not, I hope you feel loved in so many ways! I've missed you and feel we have much to catch up on. Self-love, friendship old and new, mentorship, family and chosen family love, I believe it is the most important thing, so it touched my heart to hear the resounding message in Bad Bunny's Superbowl 60 halftime show, among other powerful stories it told. "The only thing more powerful than hate is love." - Bad Bunny Happy Year of the...

Carrot Ginger Soup to warm my January

Hello beautiful, Happy New Year! I hope you are having a mellow and fulfilling transition into 2026. For me it has been a slow and gentle liminal period of rest, reflection, celebration, starting to plan the year ahead but honoring the rhythms of my personal year, with no hard deadlines. I do like to set intentions and plan events each New Year, but take my time in doing so. Teaching online, in-studio and school, sharing resources on YouTube, articles on the blog, as well as on Social Media...
